We are a very busy mixed practice with finite places for NHS patients and emergency appointments. Whenever you miss an appointment without giving us 24 hours notice, you have effectively taken up a slot that could have been allocated to a patient with a genuine emergency.
If you have a booked appointment that becomes inconvenient for you, please contact us as soon as possible to re-schedule a new time and date. We require a minimum of 24 hours’ notice to rearrange your appointment, this gives us time to relocate your appointment to another patient. You may be asked to pay a deposit when rebooking your appointment.
There is a £20 charge for missing a hygiene appointment or if you fail to give us 24 hours’ notice.
For all private treatment we request a deposit of the treatment before booking usually around 50% or a proportion of the treatment cost.
If you fail to notify us of cancellation or cancel within 24 hours without valid reason or you are too late and cannot be seen by the dentist or the hygienist, we will take the deposit to cover costs of wasted chair time.
